People are constantly in search of something that will tell them what to do step by step. Unfortunately, as with most things, there is simply no such thing when it comes to weight loss, per se. But there are things that you can do that will contribute to your success. The following is a short list of 10 habits that will help you lose weight:
1. Keep track of everything you consume. Make sure you include the amount and other details. This is to give you an idea of your eating habits at a glance, so you can adjust them accordingly.
2. Refrain from eating any candies. Try to eat no more than 3 unhealthy snacks per week. This means no candy bars, no ice cream, and generally nothing with high sugar content. Again if you’re going to eat unhealthy snacks, keep it at NO MORE THAN 3 PER WEEK.
3. Cut your fat intake by at least half. The best way to do this is to use very little butter/margarine, salad dressing, and mayonnaise.
4. Try to eat a bunch of small meals every day, instead of eating 3 large ones.
5. Make breakfast your biggest meal of the day, and make your meals increasingly smaller as the day goes on, making dinner your smallest meal.
6. Try not to eat a lot of red meat. Instead use white meats like chicken and fish for protein.
7. Instead of junk food and candy, eat fresh fruits. Truthfully, they are just as delicious and are much better for you.
8. Drink water instead of sodas or juices. This will help you metabolism speed up by cleansing your kidneys and the rest of your organs. You can also add a lemon to cleanse your body even more.
9. Eat as many vegetables as you can, vegetables will help fill your stomach, while also helping you burn fat.
10.Try to chew your food thoroughly, and don’t eat too fast. If you eat fast and don’t chew your food enough, then your body will have trouble digesting it the way it should.
Really, all of these healthy habits can be summed up by four words: Watch what you eat. An extra tip would be to not eat too late at night. If you eat before you go to sleep you will have a greater chance of the food turning into fat.
