Calorie Shifting

fatloss4idiotsProbably the most sought after thing in the weight loss industry, is a diet that will trim the pounds and slim the waist in just weeks. People want to be able to look in the mirror a month from now and say “hey that’s not me”. All too often those people are let down by some television “guru” that promises them the world…for 19.99. The truth is… you CAN lose 20 pounds in a month, but you have to follow principles that are scientifically sound. You’re not going to get amazing results by starving yourself and drinking a miracle smoothie… that’s just not scientifically sound.

If you want amazing results, you’re going to need a little help from your metabolism. You won’t get amazing results if your body is refusing to comply with you. In order to boost your metabolism you’re going to need to eat nutritious foods, and you’re going to have to eat these nutritious foods on and off through out the day. This means replacing your 3 meals per day with about 7 meals. Even though you will be eating more meals per day, you’ll keep them small and you will never eat within an hour before you go to sleep. If you eat too close to bed time, the food will not be converted into energy (metabolized), and it will therefore be turned into fat.

Food has to become your means of sustenance, not a form of entertainment or a pass time. Hobby eating is the number one root cause of obesity. Hobbies become habits, and habits are hard to break..yet predictable. You want your diet to confuse your body into a state called ketosis, which puts your metabolism into hyper drive. If you are unsure how to do this then download the diet plan on this site. It has a meal generator that is guaranteed to plan you a custom diet that will boost your metabolism. The FatLoss4Idiots program is one of the most renowned diet programs on the internet, and for good reason… IT WORKS!

Wonderful Weight Loss Tips

fatloss4idiotsMany times people are in search of an all-in-one diet that will tell them how to do everything. While there are some diets that will accomplish something close to this, it is better to combine a bunch of methods, and use them in conjunction with one another. The following is a short list of tips, that can be used with any diet.

Always eat something in the morning when you wake up. The old saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day is indeed true. Without a healthy breakfast, you will feel drained for the rest of the day, and your metabolism will not operate the way it is supposed to. Plus you won’t have enough energy to get the most out of your exercises.

Try not to “snack” on things while your watching the television. Often times people who watch television a lot, tend to eat more than people who do not. Probably because they have built an association in their mind with enjoying a meal and watching a show. Reading a book is a better way to entertain yourself anyway. Reading actually burns calories, and needless to say you’ll learn a lot more in a book than you will from the television.

Try not to hang out with your friends constantly. Peer pressure often leads people to break their diets. I’m not saying don’t have friends, I’m just saying you should limit the amount of time you spend with them and try not to be around them when they order a delicious pizza.

DO NOT drink alcohol excessively. Alcohol is high in calories, calories that you won’t feel like burning with a hangover. Not to mention being drunk could cause you to make some poor decisions, and I’m not just talking about dieting decisions either.

Try to eat a small appetizer before your meals, a brothy soup is the best one to pick. This will most likely make you feel full and keep you from eating your entire meal, then you can just save it for later and snack on it when you get home in increments.

Eat your food slowly and chew your food thoroughly, this will help your stomach digest the food better and it keeps you from eating too much in one sitting. Plus you can trick yourself into thinking you are full if you eat slower and give the food time to settle.

Try to use pans that are non-stick, that way you don’t have to use a lot of butter/oil, this will keep your fat intake low. Also it is best to use oil rather than butter, no matter what you’re cooking. You may like butter but oil is less fattening by far.

The last tip that I’m sure you have heard a million times, is to drink lots of water. This tip is actually one of the most crucial tips, and if you don’t use any of the tips I just gave you, you should use this one. Even if you are not trying to lose weight I would recommend you to drink 6-8 cups of water a day.

Fat Loss For Idiots – The New Approach to Dieting

fatloss4idiotsIn the modern world of diet and exercise, new approaches are constantly coming forth, claiming to have all of the answers. It seems that the only thing that all of these new approaches have in common is that they all contradict each other at some point or another.  While many people may benefit from learning all of these new approaches to weight loss, most of us simply become more and more confused as we are confronted with more and more contradicting theories. Often times you are left wondering what to try first. While there are many approaches and methods to loosing weight, relatively, there are only a few universal truths, even though unfortunately they are not recognized as such.

One of the most debated on subjects is whether or not to eat things that you like while on a diet. Some say that eating things that you like in moderation will help you to lose weight while making it easy to stick to your diet. Others say, if you eat what you want then you will tend to eat more, because you will be enjoying eating too much. The truth is, as it is with many other debates, the correct answer lies somewhere in between both opinions. It is true that it is best to eat things in moderation, but only if the things that you are eating in moderation are good for you. In other words it is not good to eat junk food in moderation, no matter how you look at it. On the other hand it is also true that eating things you like will cause you to eat more, but if you apply the rule from the other method and eat the things you like only in moderation then you won’t have to worry about that part.

Another important fact that is not so debated, but rather has been established as universal fact over the past 50 years. Is the fact that eating many small meals throughout the day, is better than eating 3 large meals. Eating small meals helps your bodies metabolism to do it’s job more efficiently by not putting to much of a load  on your digestive system. It is easier for your body to digest small meals then it is for it to digest very large meals. This fact can’t be argued. Another fact that can’t be argued is that exercising will help you lose weight.

If you are looking for a program that will help you lose weight, it would be wise for you to pick one that uses the three concepts that I just talked about. One such program is the FatLoss4Idiots program. It truly is one of the most comprehensive dieting systems on the internet today. Check it out at www.fatloss4idiots.co  and I’m sure you’ll find the tons of information extremely useful.m

Is Fat Loss 4 Idiots a Scam? A Closer Look at Fat Loss 4 Idiots

fatloss4idiotsOne of the most popular online diets is currently Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Any time a diet plan costs money it is only natural to have some concern as to whether or not the diet is a scam and to want to learn more. This article takes a closer look at the concept behind this program to determine whether or not it is a legitimate diet plan.

The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet has been around for awhile now, although it has been known by several other names including Weight Loss 4 Idiots and The Idiot Proof diet. When you purchase the program you receive both a handbook with diet tips and access to a diet generator which creates a customized meal plan for you based around the foods that you like.

The concept behind the diet revolves around what is called the shifting calories theory. Basically, what this means is that you vary the number of calories you eat each day and the types of foods that you eat to trick your metabolism and keep it from slowing down. Let’s take a closer look at why this is important.

Many other diet severely limit the number of calories that you eat each day. When you eat too few calories your body goes into what is known as “starvation mode” and slows down your metabolism. Basically, your body thinks that you are starving and slows your metabolism to try to conserve energy and keep you alive. When your metabolism slows down it becomes harder to lose weight and easier to gain it back when you eventually go off your diet.

One way around this problem that allows you to lose weight quickly without slowing your metabolism is to vary how many calories you eat each day – some days more and some days less. This effectively tricks your body so it doesn’t think that you are starving and allows you to drop pounds without risking a slower metabolism. While the concept behind shifting calories is fairly easy to understand, actually putting it into practice and seeing good results can be more difficult.

In order to be effective you need to eat the right number of calories each day and eat the right types of foods. That’s where Fat Loss 4 Idiots comes in. The diet generator automatically figures out how many calories and which foods you should eat each day to maximize your weight loss while keeping your metabolism running faster. You simply run the generator and then follow your customized meal plan. This takes all the guesswork out of the equation and makes it easy to lose weight quickly.

While losing 9 lbs. every 11 days may at first sound like a scam, it is actually very possible with the help of Fat Loss 4 Idiots. Most people lose about 7-10 lbs every 11 days that they are on the diet. Find out more about how effective this program is and what you can expect on the diet at http://www.dietbuzz.com/fat-loss-for-idiots

Good luck!

Metabolism Boosting

fatloss4idiotsThe most important bodily function in regards to weight loss is by far your metabolism. Your metabolism controls how fast, or slow, you process proteins and store fat. If your metabolism is fast, you will find it easy to lose weight, if it is slow then you may find it very difficult. One of the most asked questions in the weight loss industry is “How can I boost my metabolism ?”.

Surprisingly, the best way to boost your metabolism is to force your body to burn fat by eating a diet that is high in protein and low in carbohydrates. This creates a process called ketosis. This is the most natural and effortless way to boost your metabolism. Try to stay away from pre-packaged commercial foods, and stick to a more organic diet of fruits and vegetables. It would also be helpful to replace all of the red meat you eat with white meats like chicken and fish.

Another way is to force your metabolism to become more active by exercising. Aerobic exercises are the best kinds of exercises to do this with. Exercising will help you turn that fat into muscle, and your newfound muscle will help you burn fat while you sleep. You’ll also notice an increase in stamina and energy. As you gain more energy you’ll be able to engage in more rigorous exercise and your weight loss will snowball into a rapid process as time goes on and you get used to your routine.

Your metabolism needs certain nutrients and proteins to function properly. Many times people with slow metabolisms are lacking the crucial elements, and so they should supplement with vitamins from the health store to give the metabolism a boost. Good vitamins are backed by money back guarantees most of the time so you really have nothing to lose by trying them. If you’re trying to boost your metabolism, the worse thing you can do is to eat junk food, I really shouldn’t have to tell you that, but I figured I would add that for the 1%  of people wondering if it’s ok.

Whatever you decide to do, remember the most important part is sticking with it.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots – Developing Proper Weight Loss Goals

fatloss4idiotsIf you are looking to lose weight then you surely want to achieve your goals. However, it is important that you properly designed you goals so that they are actually achievable. Unfortunately, many people will select goals that are a little beyond what would be a reasonable goal. That is why it is important to follow a few tips for better weight loss goals.

Avoid a decision to drop an unrealistic amount of weight in a short time frame. Yes, we all wish those extra pounds would go away tomorrow. However, there is only so much fat the human body can burn in a short amount of time. Remember, one pound of stored fat is the equivalent to 3600 calories. To burn or eliminate 3600 calories in one week is tough. To drop 36,000 is basically impossible. Yet, that is what many people wish to do when they have goals of dropping 10lbs in a week. In general, 1 – 1.5lbs a week is a reasonable amount.

Side note: this refers exclusively to burning 1.5lbs of fat. You will often drop 8lbs in a week, but it is merely water weight. When you cut back on calories, you will be cutting back on the three elements that comprise food: fat, carbs, and proteins. Carbs promote water retention so any reduction in the carbs you eat per week will lead to water weight loss.

Do not fall into the trap of wishing to spot reduce. No exercise can eliminate fat in a specific area. This is known as spot reduction and it can only be achieved via surgery. So, don’t believe the hype about exercise devices that can spot reduce. They cannot!

Crash diets and starvation diets are not a good option. Basically, cutting an enormous amount of calories too soon is self-defeating. Basically, this type of dieting sends the body into starvation mode. That means the body’s metabolism will slow to a crawl in order to conserve the calories it ingests. In time, you could even store more food as fat even though you are ingesting fewer calories!

It is best to avoid too much exercise. This is a close cousin to starvation diets in the sense it is a strategy that seeks to do too much too soon. As with starvation diets the results of too much exercise are self-defeating. If you exercise too much you will greatly increase your chance of injury. Also, you could develop burnout within a short period of time. Either way, you will end up less active which means you will burn fewer calories. As such, it is best to stick with moderate amounts of exercise as opposed to over doing it.

Don’t give up! Far too often, people will lament their diet isn’t working and just give up. Quitting is never a good idea and that is why it is critical to stick with achieving your weight loss goals. With the right effort, you will find the right diet and exercise program. This will lead you to the results you desire.

10 Healthy Weight Loss Habits

fatloss4idiotsPeople are constantly in search of something that will tell them what to do step by step. Unfortunately, as with most things, there is simply no such thing when it comes to weight loss, per se. But there are things that you can do that will contribute to your success. The following is a short list of 10 habits that will help you lose weight:

1.  Keep track of everything you consume. Make sure you include the amount and other details. This is to give you an idea of your eating habits at a glance, so you can adjust them accordingly.

2.  Refrain from eating any candies. Try to eat no more than 3 unhealthy snacks per week. This means no candy bars, no ice cream, and generally nothing with high sugar content. Again if you’re going to eat unhealthy snacks, keep it at NO MORE THAN 3 PER WEEK.

3.  Cut your fat intake by at least half. The best way to do this is to use very little butter/margarine, salad dressing, and mayonnaise.

4.  Try to eat a bunch of small meals every day, instead of eating 3 large ones.

5Make breakfast your biggest meal of the day, and make your meals increasingly smaller as the day goes on, making dinner your smallest meal.

6.  Try not to eat a lot of red meat. Instead use white meats like chicken and fish for protein.

7.  Instead of junk food and candy, eat fresh fruits. Truthfully, they are just as delicious and are much better for you.

8.  Drink water instead of sodas or juices. This will help you metabolism speed up by cleansing your kidneys and the rest of your organs. You can also add a lemon to cleanse your body even more.

9.  Eat as many vegetables as you can, vegetables will help fill your stomach, while also helping you burn fat.

10.Try to chew your food thoroughly, and don’t eat too fast. If you eat fast and don’t chew your food enough, then your body will have trouble digesting it the way it should.

Really, all of these healthy habits can be summed up by four words: Watch what you eat.  An extra tip would be to not eat too late at night. If you eat before you go to sleep you will have a greater chance of the food turning into fat.

Lose Fat… NOT Nutrition

fatloss4idiotsMost of the time when people think of a diet, they automatically assume that starving themselves is part of the regimen. However that could not be further from the truth. You see, when you deprive your body of the crucial nutrients that it needs, your fat cells actually go into a sort of “survival mode” and your metabolism SLOWS down, to help you preserve energy and nutrients.

After a couple of days of your metabolism halting, your body then starts to devour itself to compensate for the lack of nutrients. It is then you will notice that you ARE losing some weight.. however you will also notice dark circles under your eyes, nausea, dizziness, grouchiness and just a general feeling of illness.

So how do you lose weight, without losing the vital nutrition your body needs? The answer is really quite simple. The key is dietary PLANNING. You need to plan a diet that is well balanced in vitamins and minerals, and try to include ALL of the nutrients your body needs to function correctly, in moderate  amounts.  The truth is, being overweight is mostly caused by vitamin deficiencies that are preventing your bodies metabolism from working the way it should. That is why it’s so hard for some people to lose weight, even after months of exercise, because they have not yet balanced their metabolism. The ONLY type of food you want to consume is nutrient rich food, and only in moderate amounts. This will help your body repair itself in every way imaginable, and in the process you will lose weight the RIGHT way.

So what are some foods that you should include in this new balanced diet of yours? Well, surprisingly the best food for weight loss is NOT the pre-packaged “diet” food in your grocers freezer. The most nutrient rich diet foods are all natural, or “organic” foods. There is a reason why parents tell their children to eat their fruits and vegetables to build a strong healthy body.

A broad outline of any good diet would consist of vegetables, fruits (dried and fresh), nuts, whole grains, yogurts, chicken and fish. Make sure you eat only enough to fill you up for the time being, eating small meals through out the day, rather three large ones.  Water is preferable over juices and sodas of course.

Hopefully I have given you a slight idea of the basics of dieting the correct way.

Good Carb, Bad Carb

fatloss4idiotsSome of the most famous diets of all time have based their theories on the use of  low carbohydrate diets. The main point in these diets is to control the intake of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the equivalent to your bodies fuel cells. They are responsible for giving you energy and boosting or slowing down you metabolism. Carbohydrates are also crucial to the sustenance of most of your organs. While carbs are good in that sense, like everything, there is another side to them.

While there are really no carbs that are universally bad, there are carbs that would be bad for most of us if ingested regularly. Generally speaking, bad carbs refer to carbs that are contained in foods that are high in sugar or refined flour, which can be digested quickly and then turned into fat very fast. The reason for this is because the glut in carbohydrates causes the bodies insulin to boost, which causes the body to store the carbohydrates as fat cells, instead of using them for energy. An example of bad carbs would be the carbs contained in potato chips or hamburgers.

Good carbs generally have more nutrients in them than “bad” carbs, and they usually are converted into energy rather than fat because of their molecular composition and their effect on the digestive system. A good example of good carbs would be carbs that are contained in fruits, vegetables and whole grains.   These foods not only tend to have the “good” carbs but they are also higher in vitamins, minerals and fiber. While most diets advocate the use of good carbs over bad carbs, there are still many diets out there that advise the avoidance of all carbs completely.

The toughest decision for people to make when they first start dieting is usually which diet to try first.

Food For Comfort… Food For Thought

fatloss4idiotsThe number one cause of excessive eating is by far, eating for comfort. Whether it be eating because you’re bored or eating because you are depressed, both cause you to use food for comfort. Eating food for comfort is the number one reason people fail at their diet, regardless of how effective that diet is.

There are many things that lead to what is called “binge eating”. In this article I am going to go over some of the things that cause people to relapse in their diet and revert back to their emotional eating habits.

One of the main things that cause people to revert back to binge eating is depriving themselves of food for prolonged periods of time. There is only so much that good old fashioned willpower can do for you, and when it fails you will go right back to binge eating, harder than ever. Depriving yourself of vital nutrients is not only bad for you, but it also contradicts your natural instincts to survive, and that is why it is rigged  for failure from the beginning.

Another way people often wind up failing, is by using methods that allow you to eat whatever you’d like and then make up for it with exercise. The problem with this method is you have to exercise very hard to make up for all of the calories you are consuming, and generally speaking, people who are dieting do not  have the endurance to participate in such exercises without injuring themselves. What usually winds up happening is, the dieter becomes injured or severely fatigued, at which time they revert to binge eating during the healing process. By they time they heal they have already gained back all of the pounds that they just lost.

Yet another method that keeps people from breaking the emotional eating boundaries is what’s called “the blame game”. This is when people blame something for the reason they are overweight. Most of the time they blame their metabolism. The only thing you could possibly blame your weight problem on… is you! You may say “but that’s not true, there are people that are born this way, it’s our genetics”. Yes, you are right, and there are people like that losing LOTS OF WEIGHT and becoming thin every day! I did! So who’s fault is it that you choose to blame your faults for being the way you are? What if Stevie Wonder decided he couldn’t play the piano because he was blind?

he only way to break the boundaries of emotional eating is to throw away the baggage that has kept you doing the things that you are doing. Educate yourself on the subject of dieting, instead of engaging in monkey see monkey do.
