What’s the Best Aerobic Exercise?

fatloss4idiots

Many times when people set out to do things, they often try to pick the BEST way to do it, and then use only the best method. However, all too often the best method is not just one method but a combination of many, operating in conjunction with one another. Such is the case with aerobic exercising. So then the question is posed “well then what’s the best aerobic routine?”.

There are some ways you can pick an aerobic routine that is most suitable to YOU. The most important attribute that an aerobic routine should have, is it’s enjoyability. If is enjoyable to YOU, then you will do it more and you will ultimately stick with it, so that it may produce desirable results. All aerobic routines consist of what are called “cardiovascular activities” or “cardio”.  Good examples of casual cardio exercises would be running, swimming, cycling, tennis, boxing etc etc. Cardio exercise strengthens the heart by keeping the heart rate elevated consistently over long periods of time.

It also strengthens the lungs because your body needs oxygen to fuel your heart, so your breathing is also sustained at elevated levels, thereby strengthening and cleansing the lungs. Cardio is a key element in weight loss because it gives you stamina, and with it comes the ability to take your exercising to the next level, to see the best results possible. It releases chemicals in our brain as well, one of the chemicals is called seratonim, which is responsible for the same feeling of well being and focus that you experience during sex, eating, and other joy evoking activities. It plays a key role in driving the motivation to lose weight.

Generally, the aerobic routines that are the easiest to stick with are sports or other recreational activities like dancing. If you like to play basketball, then sign up for your local gym and play some ball. If you like swimming go to the YMCA everyday. If you like to dance you can choose one of the many aerobic dancing videos that are available on the Internet and TV. It is recreational activities like these that keep millions of people healthy, while letting them have fun at the same time. Once you get over the first stamina hurdles and start releasing seratonim, then virtually all aerobic activities will become fun to you because you will see it as a challenge.

Even if you use all of the info I just gave you and you succeed in creating the greatest exercise regimen in the world, you still will not lose weight in a healthy way unless you have the right diet. Your diet is what FUELS your exercises and therefore your results.

Good Luck!

The Effects of Obesity And How FatLoss4Idiots Can Help

fatloss4idiotsThe most obvious effect that obesity has on the body is fatigue. Carrying around a bunch of extra weight will drain anyone, even the energizer bunny. When you’re obese your body is using energy that it could be using to do other more productive things, just to support the extra weight that you’re carrying. If you are 20 pounds overweight then chances are you feel a lot like a person who is not overweight, that is carrying a 20 pound weight everywhere….you’ve just gotten used to it…make sense? No wonder your so tired all of the time, your pretty much carrying weight bags with you everywhere.

Obesity also negatively impacts your heart, because your heart has to work extra hard to support the extra weight. It actually damages your entire cardiovascular system including your veins and lungs. Obesity has been known to cause heart attacks and even strokes in many individuals, even young people. Obesity also wreaks havoc on your joints and has been know to cause gout, a condition in which uric acid builds up in your joints and causes growths and excessive pain. It can also cause infertility and diabetes.

Obesity causes a substantially elevated  risk of cancer, of ALL KINDS. Being obese is also linked to gall bladder disease and depression. It effects pretty much every aspect of living, down to your social life and your ability to do things in general. The sad thing is among all of these things the one that seems to be the worst is the effect it has on one’s self esteem. Obesity is known to shatter people’s confidence from an early age and many times, overweight people are subject to cruel jokes their entire lives. Did you know that obesity is responsible for just as many deaths as AIDS and smoking? So the next time your friend is scared to test positive for AIDS, remind him about the threat of becoming obese and the cigarettes he smokes.

Indeed obesity is an increasingly serious problem in society today, and if you or someone you know is obese, then you should start RIGHT NOW in taking steps to address the problem. The first step that one should take in addressing the problem is changing their dietary habits. Exercising For Weight Loss

fatloss4idiotsWhen it comes to exercising there are two main categories, aerobics and weight training. Aerobics focuses on fast paced, repetitive activities of little resistance, designed to strengthen your heart and improve the health of your lungs and other crucial bodily functions. Weight training or “resistance training”, focuses on building muscle strength through concentrated and isolated movements that target specific muscles individually. Both methods of training are helpful in building muscle tone and losing weight, yet the popular belief is that aerobic exercise is better for weight loss than weight (resistance) training. However this is not necessarily true.

The belief that aerobic exercise is more effective at weight loss, stems from the fact that muscle weighs more than fat, and so therefore people believe that building muscle will make you bulky and cause you to weigh MORE. The truth is, one pound of muscle burns 300-500 calories every week to sustain itself, while a pound of fat only burns about 15 calories per week to sustain itself. Therefore building muscle is the BEST thing you can do to boost your metabolism and burn fat while you sleep. There is really no need to fret about getting bulky muscles, because you can use moderately heavy weights and do it only twice a week, and it will still increase your overall muscle mass.

Whether you use aerobic or weight training to lose weight, there is no need to over exert yourself at all. Actually, over-exertion is the main problem most people have when trying to build muscle or lose weight. Your body needs twice as much rest as it does exercise, and if it doesn’t get the rest that it needs, you will experience malnutrition and fatigue, which will completely stunt your results regardless of the outcome that you’re aiming for. The most effective method of weight loss would be a combination of aerobics, weight training and good dieting.

When choosing the best exercise/dieting regimen, remember to include foods that you enjoy eating and exercises that are not too strenuous. You want to make it as easy as possible to stick to your plan.

Weight loss – different Metabolic Reactions due to Weight Loss

fatloss4idiotsWhere do the fats go when someone wants to reduce his/her weight? There are different kinds of metabolism activities taking place in the body of us humans which reduces calories, and fats. Different kinds of reactions take place in the human body, but, to understand where fats go when someone reduces their weight.

When your body needs some calories and you consumes fewer calories, than it turns to fats for producing energy. The biological term for producing energy to body from fats cell is called “triglycerides”.

There are different series and steps are involved in the metabolic process, when triglycerides are broken down into different components such as glycerol and fatty acids, it is absorbed into the liver, muscles and kidneys. These components are further broken down by the chemical reactions in the body which produce energy for the body.

As you might know they produce heat when the said reaction takes place. It gives the maximum temperature. These chemical reactions produces waste product such as water and carbon dioxide. The human body excretes water as urine and sweat and carbon dioxide exhaled in the air from lungs through nose.

Metabolism means the process by which the human body converts food into energy. When this metabolism reaction is taking place in the human body, different calories, carbohydrates, fats and protein are all combined with oxygen and gives energy to human body. There are number of calories which our body burns every day, which is called energy expenditure. Three factors are involved in the energy expenditure.

·         Basic needs. When our bodies are relaxing or in the process of getting relaxed, there are different organs which are running such as breathing, blood circulating, heart beat and different kind of hormones which needs calories. So producing calories is the basic need of the human body

·         Food processing.  There are different kinds of reactions in the human body such as digestion, excretion, respiration and blood circulation, it consumes extra calories. Human body uses extra calories of 10% every day for these reactions. Physical activity.  The physical activities such as running, walking or doing some other physical activities, it requires high calories. You must control your calories for these types of activities.
