Fat Loss For Idiots – Selecting a Weight Loss Diet Program

fatloss4idiotsWhen a person wishes to lose weight and is unsure how to go about it, the person will usually look towards a popular diet program. This is often a very good idea since there are many excellent commercial diet programs that can significantly help someone lose weight. However, not all diet programs are identical and that means it is best to select a diet program properly.

Make a Wise Decision from the Outset

Firstly, it is helpful to avoid purchasing the first diet program you come across. This is true even if the advertising literature for the program is quite inviting. Remember, all the advertising material for all diet programs will be positive! No one is going to craft an ad campaign that does anything other than stress the benefits of the program. And, even though a number of these benefits may be true, it is always best to shop around and be sure you are getting the best deal and the best potential results for your money.

A Little Research Goes a Long Way

One way to do this is to perform a little research. That means it is helpful to read reviews, testimonials, or even blogs that cover the diet program. Really, there is no better feedback than the sentiments of those that may have actually took part in a particular diet program. Of course, it is also fair to say not all criticism will be fair. As such, it becomes necessary to weigh the validity of any research material you come across. Once again, you want to make the right decision and find a diet program you will be pleased with.

Now, some may say that this approach makes selecting a diet program a long and laborious process. Actually, this is not the case. You could perform your research in as little as one day. Or, if needed, you could extend it to a week. Ultimately, you do not want to choose a diet program that will not help you achieve your goals. Really, if you select a bad diet plan that doesn’t work, what would be the value?

The Issue of Cost

Commercial diet programs come with costs. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t even be commercial in the first place! In all seriousness, if a program has devised a special plan and produces healthy, quality diet food that delivers results then the costs will be worth it. However, it is advisable that you do not overspend beyond your affordability as this will obviously lead to problems for you.

Similarly, it is best to avoid diet programs that come with ridiculously low prices. You get what you pay for and if a diet program comes with a $9.95 price tag, it is probably little more than a rehash of free information you could find elsewhere.

There are a number of excellent commercial diet programs out there. Your goal is to find the diet program that works best for you. With a little research, you surely will be able to find one within your range of affordability. Afterward, you will be well on your way to getting into perfect shape.

Unbiased Review of Fat Loss 4 Idiots Book

fat loss for idiots

There is no shortage of websites claiming to be the only real way to lose weight, whether through diets or miracle drugs. Fat Loss 4 Idiots website enters this crowded field promoting two products: an online diet generator and Fat Loss 4 Idiots book.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots works on a principle it calls “calorie shifting”. This theory states that low calorie diets will not work, as your body will simply slow down its metabolism so as to burn fewer calories. Instead, website promotes the idea of eating meals in set patterns that rotate different kinds of calories in order to fool the body into burning off all the calories you eat.

Does Calorie Shifting Really Work?

Website claims that its system will help you lose 9 pounds every 11 days. That ought to set off a red flag right there, since most medical experts don’t recommend losing more than 2 or 3 pounds a week.

There is also a distinct lack of peer-reviewed scientific literature supporting the calorie shifting theory, which is used in the Fat Loss 4 Idiots book. The only mentions of this seem to be on health blogs, most of which dismiss it as a scam. Obviously, the comments boxes on these blogs are filled with boilerplate responses from people claiming that calorie shifting works great and which proceed to link back to fatloss4idiots website.

Evidently, this kind of hard sell works, since the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Book is one of the most downloaded e-books on the Internet. But all the available evidence offers that, yeah, it really is that simple. If you burn off more calories than you eat, you’ll definitely lose weight and if you don’t, you’ll therefore gain weight. Anything more is just smoke and mirrors.
