Walking Away From the Weight

fatloss4idiotsYou’re probably looking for a good way to start losing weight immediately, aren’t you? Well if you were then you are in luck, if you weren’t… well then you’re still in luck. Just by walking a couple of miles each day, you can lose that stubborn weight, and boost your metabolism…. AND become a faster walker! Well maybe you don’t care about that last part, but chances are you care about the first 2 benefits. Please note that is you are not that much over your normal body weight then this won’t work very well for you, now if you are 25+ pounds over weight then this is perfect for you.

If you want to get the most out of your walking you will need a plan, that means a diet and exercise plan. Okay maybe you don’t have the time to do extra exercises other than walking, but I know you have time to eat…and you need to do so the RIGHT WAY. You’ll want to follow a good nutrition regimen. The one available for download on this site is perfect for anyone’s diet. Eating the right combination of foods will boost your metabolism, thereby making you burn fat even faster.

You should also consider making your own personal touches to whatever program you decide to follow. If they tell you take it easy in the beginning and you feel you could put a little more work in than necessary, go for it. Everyone has different limits, so don’t sell yourself short if you’re aiming for maximum results. In the beginning don’t concentrate on distance too much. You should walk at whatever pace you feel is the best you can sustain for 30 minutes. When the half an hour is up then your walk is over. Try to walk a little bit faster each day.

Maybe try setting goals to walk a certain distance in a certain time, and see if you can beat your own time. Sooner or later that slow walk will turn into a brisk walk, which will turn into a jog, and before you know it you’ll be 20 pounds lighter running full speed down the sidewalk with a water bottle. Speaking of water, it is CRUCIAL to any exercise. You HAVE to stay hydrated otherwise you will get cramps and your muscle development will be stunted. The las tips I have for you is: DO NOT drink tap water….. unless you like drinking pharmaceutical chemicals and lead , buy filtered water.

Surgery Versus Diet and Exercises

fatloss4idiotsIn today’s world everything is very fast paced, and society has become impatient and anxious about every aspect of life. The way to weight loss has adapted to conform to this type of lifestyle as well. Many people who are looking for a quick fix to their weight loss problems, choose to go the route of surgery, instead of losing the weight by actually becoming healthy. After surgery is when many of the patients regret their decision. The following is an examination of the pros and cons of surgery versus diet and exercise.

Liposuction causes ugly scars, saggy skin and it doesn’t fix the problem. Therefore, the most common form of weight loss surgery is gastric bypass surgery. Since this is the most popular method, this is the surgery we’ll use for comparison. The first things you are guaranteed to to hate about your gastric bypass surgery, is the fact that you are not allowed to eat for 3 days after it. Also, the surgery will reduce the size of your stomach to the size of a walnut! So if you eat too much (which is not a lot) you will have severe pain in your chest, where the food enters the stomach area. You will also experience vomiting and nausea. You will also experience:

Aches and Pains

Feeling Tired and Sick

Feeling Cold

Dry Skin

Hair Loss

Mood Changes

How terrible would it be to get a surgery like that and then realize you can’t eat more than one ounce of food anymore. If you do decide to treat yourself every once in a while, you will have to deal with sever stomach pains and vomiting. On top of all that you have to deal with the trauma and risk of the surgery as well. The only pros I could find for the surgery, is that it is quick and easy.

While diet and exercise may not be the quickest or easiest way to lose weight, it will guarantee that you are becoming healthy in the process. Since your body will be working to lose the weight it will be reaping the benefits of that work and you will feel greater than ever. Eventually, once you’ve gotten used to exercising you will love doing it, and you will be able to eat what you’d like instead of having a stomach the size of a walnut. If you’d like to learn more about dieting, then check out all of the free info we have compiled on weight loss. I’d also recommend you download the fatloss4idiots diet plan as well.

Low Calorie Diets

fatloss4idiotsMost diets that are considered low calorie diets focus on one thing, to control and limit your caloric intake. Regardless of what the diet is named, it is still based on the same theory. Considering the fact that there are more and more diets popping up everyday, and there is also a record amount of obese people..that is steadily growing. It should be easy to see that this means there are more and more diets being promoted that DON’T WORK, hence the rising amount of overweight people. If all of these diets worked so well…. wouldn’t the number of obese people be decreasing?

Each individuals body works differently, down to the intake and outtake of calories or our “metabolic rate”. Some people may naturally burn more calories than others, thereby having a “faster metabolism”.

People with fast metabolisms lose weight easily in comparison to people with a slow metabolism. So the goal of any diet should be to speed up the metabolism. Usually a persons metabolism starts to slow down in their 20’s-30’s, however once again this differs in everyone. Generally speaking though, this is why a lot of people become overweight during that age period.

The setback that most people have when trying low calorie diets is they go to far with it. If your caloric intake is TOO low then your body will go into “food shock” or “survival mode”. When this happens your metabolism actually SLOWS down in order to preserve energy and nutrients, thereby causing your weight loss to come to a halt. The sad thing is that most low cal diets will cause the user to do just that, making them not very effective, because they actually make you burn calories slower.

Another thing that is wrong with diets like that is you are cutting the intake of calories to quickly, instead of gradually doing it over time. This can also cause detrimental effects. If your calories are at a very low level, then your muscle mass deteriorates. Muscle burns calories for sustenance…if there are not enough calories to burn, then the muscle withers away….when the muscle withers away, the fat remains and it is now harder to burn without the muscle to help you burn the calories. It’s a chain reaction that occurs all too often in the dieting world.

The mistake that most diets make is they are UNDER FEEDING you. If you don’t get enough nutrition then everything that I just talked about will happen to you. After one week of depriving yourself of nutrients, not only will you still be over weight, but you’ll feel miserable too. If you’re trying to speed up your metabolism then you should eat a bunch of small meals through out the day, instead of 3 large ones, or just one small one. By eating small amounts of nutritious food at 2-3 hour intervals throughout day, you will be forcing your body into what is called ketosis. When this happens your metabolism will spike and make it easier for you to burn weight. If you want to know more crucial info like this I would suggest you download the diet plan on this site.

Getting Rid of Fat

fatloss4idiotsMaking that extra weight on your stomach can be very difficult, especially when you are always busy and are living a hectic lifestyle. It is this type of lifestyle that made you overweight to begin with. Now that you have that extra weight, you can bet it is going to be twice as hard to lose it as it was to gain it.

A lot of people start searching for step by step methods that promise instant results, even though these methods don’t really address the problem. These get slim quick schemes usually wind up doing more harm than good, to your wallet and your body. By far the most efficient and health conscience way to get rid of that fat is diet and exercise. A lot of people shy away from this method because they think it is simply too much work, and they don’t have the time for it. The truth is, it’s really not that hard and it doesn’t take that much time, to exercise 20 minutes a day. You can go as easy as you like in the beginning, and then as time goes on , you can increase the difficulty. As you start to see the rewards of your labor, your work outs will become easier.

It is very important to get enough rest. Your body needs twice as much rest as it does exercise. If you don’t get enough rest you will be voiding all of the hard work you did during your exercise, because your muscles will be unable to heal. Not getting enough rest puts stress on your body and causes physical ailments, maybe even serious injuries. Without rest your body cannot benefit in anyway, and any diet that you are practicing will also suffer.

It is also crucial to get lots of nutrition. Your body needs nutrition to fuel it’s energy, which in turn effect your workout and your recovery. While it is good to get lots of nutrition, it is not so good to eat a lot to do so. Try to eat foods that are very high in nutrition so you can eat less and still get lots of nutrition. Be sure to monitor the calories you are taking in and putting out. Without the proper diet, the rest of your weight loss regimen is useless. If you would like to learn how to diet properly then be sure to download the diet plan.

What’s the Best Aerobic Exercise?

fatloss4idiots

Many times when people set out to do things, they often try to pick the BEST way to do it, and then use only the best method. However, all too often the best method is not just one method but a combination of many, operating in conjunction with one another. Such is the case with aerobic exercising. So then the question is posed “well then what’s the best aerobic routine?”.

There are some ways you can pick an aerobic routine that is most suitable to YOU. The most important attribute that an aerobic routine should have, is it’s enjoyability. If is enjoyable to YOU, then you will do it more and you will ultimately stick with it, so that it may produce desirable results. All aerobic routines consist of what are called “cardiovascular activities” or “cardio”.  Good examples of casual cardio exercises would be running, swimming, cycling, tennis, boxing etc etc. Cardio exercise strengthens the heart by keeping the heart rate elevated consistently over long periods of time.

It also strengthens the lungs because your body needs oxygen to fuel your heart, so your breathing is also sustained at elevated levels, thereby strengthening and cleansing the lungs. Cardio is a key element in weight loss because it gives you stamina, and with it comes the ability to take your exercising to the next level, to see the best results possible. It releases chemicals in our brain as well, one of the chemicals is called seratonim, which is responsible for the same feeling of well being and focus that you experience during sex, eating, and other joy evoking activities. It plays a key role in driving the motivation to lose weight.

Generally, the aerobic routines that are the easiest to stick with are sports or other recreational activities like dancing. If you like to play basketball, then sign up for your local gym and play some ball. If you like swimming go to the YMCA everyday. If you like to dance you can choose one of the many aerobic dancing videos that are available on the Internet and TV. It is recreational activities like these that keep millions of people healthy, while letting them have fun at the same time. Once you get over the first stamina hurdles and start releasing seratonim, then virtually all aerobic activities will become fun to you because you will see it as a challenge.

Even if you use all of the info I just gave you and you succeed in creating the greatest exercise regimen in the world, you still will not lose weight in a healthy way unless you have the right diet. Your diet is what FUELS your exercises and therefore your results.

Good Luck!

Start Out Slow… To End Up Fast

fatloss4idiotsOne of the most common mistakes people make when trying to lose wight, is they start out too vigorously, they wind up getting burnt out within the first couple of days and then they give up.

Everyone thinks you have to start out like rocky balboa in order to lose some weight, this is imply just not true. In fact, the truth is just the opposite.

Starting out fast will generally cause the new exerciser to give up because they just simply don’t have the endurance to engage in difficult activities yet.  If you don’t build your stamina gradually, you can expect to experience difficulties in your exercises, including cramps, nausea, dizziness and just general fatigue. Also, your recovery time will be way longer than if you had built up your stamina gradually. You will find yourself laying in bed at every chance you get for 2-3 days after your exercises. Needless to say you can’t benefit from that type of workout.

The best way to start exercising gradually is to find something that is fun, yet easy, like swimming or walking. You can even try light aerobics to start out with. Everyone is different, so some of you may be able to start out with vigorous routines, this article is more aimed towards people who are in bad shape and are trying to escape obesity. However the same concept does apply to people with moderate stamina, you still don’t want to outdo yourself, because you could still injure yourself.

While it is good to set your goals high, if you have a goal of losing 50 pounds and you try to lose 10 in the first week through excessive exercise, you run the risk of setting yourself back another week in recovery. The main thing that you should take from this article is that you should never over exert yourself, regardless of how tough you think you are. It is easy to turn on eye of the tiger and be fooled into thinking you’re rocky…when you’re not. If you’re out of shape and you want to start exercising, taking walks around the block and a couple of jumping jacks is a good way to start. Don’t get ahead of yourself, because eventually you will catch up with yourself…and it won’t be pretty.

Metabolism Boosting

fatloss4idiotsThe most important bodily function in regards to weight loss is by far your metabolism. Your metabolism controls how fast, or slow, you process proteins and store fat. If your metabolism is fast, you will find it easy to lose weight, if it is slow then you may find it very difficult. One of the most asked questions in the weight loss industry is “How can I boost my metabolism ?”.

Surprisingly, the best way to boost your metabolism is to force your body to burn fat by eating a diet that is high in protein and low in carbohydrates. This creates a process called ketosis. This is the most natural and effortless way to boost your metabolism. Try to stay away from pre-packaged commercial foods, and stick to a more organic diet of fruits and vegetables. It would also be helpful to replace all of the red meat you eat with white meats like chicken and fish.

Another way is to force your metabolism to become more active by exercising. Aerobic exercises are the best kinds of exercises to do this with. Exercising will help you turn that fat into muscle, and your newfound muscle will help you burn fat while you sleep. You’ll also notice an increase in stamina and energy. As you gain more energy you’ll be able to engage in more rigorous exercise and your weight loss will snowball into a rapid process as time goes on and you get used to your routine.

Your metabolism needs certain nutrients and proteins to function properly. Many times people with slow metabolisms are lacking the crucial elements, and so they should supplement with vitamins from the health store to give the metabolism a boost. Good vitamins are backed by money back guarantees most of the time so you really have nothing to lose by trying them. If you’re trying to boost your metabolism, the worse thing you can do is to eat junk food, I really shouldn’t have to tell you that, but I figured I would add that for the 1%  of people wondering if it’s ok.

Whatever you decide to do, remember the most important part is sticking with it.

Food For Comfort… Food For Thought

fatloss4idiotsThe number one cause of excessive eating is by far, eating for comfort. Whether it be eating because you’re bored or eating because you are depressed, both cause you to use food for comfort. Eating food for comfort is the number one reason people fail at their diet, regardless of how effective that diet is.

There are many things that lead to what is called “binge eating”. In this article I am going to go over some of the things that cause people to relapse in their diet and revert back to their emotional eating habits.

One of the main things that cause people to revert back to binge eating is depriving themselves of food for prolonged periods of time. There is only so much that good old fashioned willpower can do for you, and when it fails you will go right back to binge eating, harder than ever. Depriving yourself of vital nutrients is not only bad for you, but it also contradicts your natural instincts to survive, and that is why it is rigged  for failure from the beginning.

Another way people often wind up failing, is by using methods that allow you to eat whatever you’d like and then make up for it with exercise. The problem with this method is you have to exercise very hard to make up for all of the calories you are consuming, and generally speaking, people who are dieting do not  have the endurance to participate in such exercises without injuring themselves. What usually winds up happening is, the dieter becomes injured or severely fatigued, at which time they revert to binge eating during the healing process. By they time they heal they have already gained back all of the pounds that they just lost.

Yet another method that keeps people from breaking the emotional eating boundaries is what’s called “the blame game”. This is when people blame something for the reason they are overweight. Most of the time they blame their metabolism. The only thing you could possibly blame your weight problem on… is you! You may say “but that’s not true, there are people that are born this way, it’s our genetics”. Yes, you are right, and there are people like that losing LOTS OF WEIGHT and becoming thin every day! I did! So who’s fault is it that you choose to blame your faults for being the way you are? What if Stevie Wonder decided he couldn’t play the piano because he was blind?

he only way to break the boundaries of emotional eating is to throw away the baggage that has kept you doing the things that you are doing. Educate yourself on the subject of dieting, instead of engaging in monkey see monkey do.
