If you buy foods that you do NOT enjoy eating, you will be making it easy for you to deviate from your diet plan. You want to make it as easy as possible to stick with it and succeed. Just because I just told you to buy things that are tasty, doesn’t mean to go out and buy a box of fancy chocolates every time you go to the store. Needless to say that wouldn’t be smart shopping.

 

Planning is the most important part of any diet.  Don’t just plan  on what you are going to buy, or how much you are trying to spend on a particular day. You’ll want to get very specific with your planning, and make sure to have enough variation, so your diet doesn’t become boring. If you stop watching the clock…it is inevitable time will go by while you are doing other things. So what are some of the things you should be doing?

 

You can start by not watching your weight as I mentioned in the paragraph above. Checking the scale all the time will make things seem like they are going slower than they actually are, and many people lose motivation if they aren’t seeing instant results. Once you’ve gotten past that, then you should focus on the WAY you eat your food. Try to eat small bites and chew your food thoroughly, this will help your body digest the food and turn it into energy, rather than fat. Also you will feel like you have eaten more than you actually have, so therefore you will eat less.

 

Another good thing to remember is to eat before going out and doing things, like going to the movies or grocery shopping. If you do this you’ll find yourself less tempted to break the rules of your diet while your out. While it is good to eat a bunch of small meals throughout the day, it is not good to snack on things that are not good for you, in between or during those meals. You should try to only snack on “junk foods” 3 times a week max.

 

If you combine these few tips with a good exercise plan and just let time go by naturally, you’ll start to see results before you know it. A good example of good carbs would be carbs that are contained in fruits, vegetables and whole grains.   These foods not only tend to have the “good” carbs but they are also higher in vitamins,minerals and fiber. While most diets advocate the use of good carbs over bad carbs, there are still many diets out there that advise the avoidance of all carbs completely.

That is why it is so important to your diet.
