So…. What Is A Metabolism?

fatloss4idiotsYour metabolism simply describes how well your body converts calories into energy. If your metabolism is slow then your body will store more calories and they will eventually be converted into fat cells. If your metabolism is fast then your body will convert more calories into usable energy. ALL diets center around speeding up the metabolism in order to help the body burn fat quickly. If your body stores most of the calories it consumes (slow metabolism) then you will have a much harder time trying to get rid of those calories before they show up in your belly fat.

Fortunate for you, a slow metabolism can be sped up at any given time, and you are not stuck with this “curse” in any way. Your metabolism is controlled by the bodies hormones, which are mostly controlled by your diet and stress levels. By changing your diet you can change the way your metabolism behaves and you can force your body to burn fat while you sleep. Another way to boost your metabolism is by exercising. This will build muscle. Muscle needs calories to sustain itself, therefore any calories that you consume are more likely to be converted into energy for your muscles. Even if you haven’t consumed any calories, your body will use the existing fat cells as energy, thereby burning fat without effort.

The key mistake with the low carb diets is that they are not considering how the metabolism works. If you cut your caloric intake by a certain amount, then your body automatically adjusts accordingly and it will limit it’s calorie conversion to that same degree. So if you start consuming only 1000 calories a day, then your body will start converting less than that automatically. There are no set amounts that your body chooses to convert, all reactions are relevant to what you do to cause the reaction. That’s why dieting with high nutrition and in many meals throughout the day works. By eating many small nutritional snacks throughout the day, instead of meals, you’ll be forcing your bodies metabolism to work overtime. Eventually after a short while this will boost your metabolism and help you lose weight.

Low Calorie Diets

fatloss4idiotsMost diets that are considered low calorie diets focus on one thing, to control and limit your caloric intake. Regardless of what the diet is named, it is still based on the same theory. Considering the fact that there are more and more diets popping up everyday, and there is also a record amount of obese people..that is steadily growing. It should be easy to see that this means there are more and more diets being promoted that DON’T WORK, hence the rising amount of overweight people. If all of these diets worked so well…. wouldn’t the number of obese people be decreasing?

Each individuals body works differently, down to the intake and outtake of calories or our “metabolic rate”. Some people may naturally burn more calories than others, thereby having a “faster metabolism”.

People with fast metabolisms lose weight easily in comparison to people with a slow metabolism. So the goal of any diet should be to speed up the metabolism. Usually a persons metabolism starts to slow down in their 20’s-30’s, however once again this differs in everyone. Generally speaking though, this is why a lot of people become overweight during that age period.

The setback that most people have when trying low calorie diets is they go to far with it. If your caloric intake is TOO low then your body will go into “food shock” or “survival mode”. When this happens your metabolism actually SLOWS down in order to preserve energy and nutrients, thereby causing your weight loss to come to a halt. The sad thing is that most low cal diets will cause the user to do just that, making them not very effective, because they actually make you burn calories slower.

Another thing that is wrong with diets like that is you are cutting the intake of calories to quickly, instead of gradually doing it over time. This can also cause detrimental effects. If your calories are at a very low level, then your muscle mass deteriorates. Muscle burns calories for sustenance…if there are not enough calories to burn, then the muscle withers away….when the muscle withers away, the fat remains and it is now harder to burn without the muscle to help you burn the calories. It’s a chain reaction that occurs all too often in the dieting world.

The mistake that most diets make is they are UNDER FEEDING you. If you don’t get enough nutrition then everything that I just talked about will happen to you. After one week of depriving yourself of nutrients, not only will you still be over weight, but you’ll feel miserable too. If you’re trying to speed up your metabolism then you should eat a bunch of small meals through out the day, instead of 3 large ones, or just one small one. By eating small amounts of nutritious food at 2-3 hour intervals throughout day, you will be forcing your body into what is called ketosis. When this happens your metabolism will spike and make it easier for you to burn weight. If you want to know more crucial info like this I would suggest you download the diet plan on this site.

Lose Weight Fast… Very Fast

fatloss4idiotsChances are if you are dieting you are not satisfied with the rate at which you are losing weight. I know how frustrating it is to step on the scale at the end of the week and see you only have lost 3 pounds. All the while you get this gut wrenching feeling, knowing that you could gain that measly 3 pounds back in a couple of meals. This is usually what leads people to weight loss pills and surgery, without even trying another diet. The reason why your diet is giving you such slow results is because it is most likely not built on sound techniques. Also, to get the most out of your diet you should be using multiple methods that compliment your diet.

Some of these extra methods include : exercise of course, drinking lots of water, colon cleansing to get rid of built up toxins, taking dietary nutritional supplements, and also adding your own touch to your existing diet. All too often you hear the question posed : “what’s the best diet and exercise regimen?”.

The fact of the matter is, there is no one method that works the best. If you want the best results, you’re going to need to use a combination of the best methods.

You should definitely start with the best diet though. The diet is by far the most important aspect of weight loss, because it fuels your exercise and it impacts your metabolism the most. Lack of Muscle Means Lots Of Fat

fatloss4idiotsOne of the biggest questions in the weight loss industry is “why do people become overweight?”.

The answer to this question has been debated on in the past, and there really are several answers to it.

While there are multiple reasons for weight gain, there really is one factor that all obese people have in common. The truth is, the reason why we gain fat, is because we are losing muscle. Muscle burns fat, without it fat builds up, it’s that simple.

A lot of people mistakingly believe that lifting weights or exercising will give them a bulky look, and so they choose not to exercise because they don’t want to look like a “meat head”. Actually though, you could work out for a whole year, and chances are you still won’t look like a professional body builder. That is the number one fear of exercise skeptics, especially females, is that they will look like a freak if they exercise too much. The funny thing is, they don’t realize that they can control the results of their exercise as they see fit. If you want lean muscle that looks sexy on a woman then all you have to do is lift lighter weights at higher repetitions. If you are actually aiming for bulky strong muscles, then you would use heavier weights at lower reps.

Muscle is by far the best fat burner out there, it is our bodies natural fat burner, and it stomps every weight loss pill out there. The less muscle you have, the more fat you will gain and vica versa. Usually. Without exercise, people begin losing muscle at a higher rate during their 20’s-30’s. This is why you see people gaining weight a lot during this time period. As time goes on your boy will deteriorate like everything else, that is unless you take care of it to reverse the effects of time. If you are going to begin an exercise regimen then you will need an effective diet first.

Without an effective diet you will be wasting your time exercising, because your body needs nutrients to build that fat burning muscle. If you are unsure what diet you should chose, I would recommend you download the FatLoss4Idiots diet plan. It is one of the most popular diet plans on the internet, and for good reason.
